IRISH CIVIL WAR.
FREE STATE GENERAL AMBUSHED. (Received 26. 11.35 a.m.) London, September 25. It is reported that 38 Irregular prisoners escapjed from the County gaol. Cork, b?’ tunnelling to a disused ventilator shaft, whence they reached a manhole in the road outside. Only two have been recaptured. A Dublin official message states that rebels ambushed ((eneral O’Duffy, who was motoring at Naas, accompanied b? r other high officials. Tlie attackers opened heavy revolver fire, then retreated.
