A strong force of Kemalist carvalry crossed the neutral frontier in the Chanak region near the village of Erinkeuy on the Dardanelles (neany midway between Kum Kall and Chanak) on Saturday within gunshot of the British lines. The Governor of Ctfanak was sent to warn them to retire as they were transgressing the neutral zone, and arranged for General Shuttleworth to meet the Turkish representatives on Sunday, with a view to obtaining an amicaTle withdrawal of the Turks. General Harrington summoned the Angora representatives here for the purpose of making similar representations. It is believed, in view of Allied acceptance of the Turkisji-Thracian demands a friendly understanding will be reached. TURKISH MILITARY STRENGTH. ON THF, INTERNATIONAL BOUNDARY.
