LONDON TO BRIGHTON RACE. WON BY E. C. HORTON. (RcceivAd 25, 8.5 a.m.) London, Sept. 23. E. C. Horton, holder oi the world’s record twelve-hours walk (73 miles 145 yards) won the London-to-Brighton walk in eight hours 27 minutes 12 seconds. There were over a 100 competitors. Pavesi. winner in 1921, was third in Bhrs 53mins 2secs. Ross, tile holder of the record for the event <"Bhrs llmins 14secs in finished fourteenth. —(A. and N.Z.) 25-MILE WALK. Melbourne. September 24. After a lapse of eight years the 25miles walking championship of Victoria was contested and resulted: — Lewis (Victoria) 1. Harrison (England) 2, Murray (Victoria) 3.
