RIFLE SHOOTING.

OKAWA CLUB’S SHOOT. On Saturday at Roy’s Hill the Okawa Hine Club fired the first match of the first series of club trophy shoots. The weather conditions were good, although a heavy mirage appeared to upset quite a number of marksmen at the 300 yards rangs. A pleasing feature was the appearance of a number of senior cadets on the firing mound. These lads have joined the club, and will now have the advantage of practical instruction by old and experienced riflemen, 'lhe committee will be only too pleased to welcome more cadets into the ranks. The conditions for Saturday’s shoot were 10 shots at 300 Varda and 10 shots at 500 yards. Rflm. G Campbell made top score off the rifle with 91. The following are the scores:—
