RUGBY FOOTBALL.
MRS PERRY’S TROPHY. Wellington, Sept. 21. It was announced at a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night that Mrs M. A. Perry, of Hawke’s Bay, had presented the Maori Football Advisory Committee with a rose bowl, known as the Te Mori Bowl, for a contest between Maori teams. It was suggested that the first annual match be played next season. The donor was influenced by the large number of Maoris playing in the last Ranfurly Shield match. Conditions were left to the New Zealand Union and the Maori Advisory Board. TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. The following will represent Hastings A against H. 5.0.8. at McLean Park on Saturday at 1.30 *p.m:—White, Shaw, Melton, Wood, Russell, Drummond, Hewitt, Dunn, Graham, Robinson, Overend, Haynes, Wattie, Stevens, Colwell, Stubbs.
