NAPIER POLICE COURT.

Mr R. W. Dyer, S.M., presided at this morning’s sitting of the Napier Police Court. Alleged theft: A lad named Jesse Williams, on a charge of theft of £3O, was remanded till Saturday next. No lights: For riding a bicycle without a light after sunset Edward Kirwan was fined £1 and costs 7s. Lnlicensed winemaker: Bartholomew Steinmetz pleaded guilty to manufacturing wine and selling wine without a license. Defendant said the matter entirely slipped his memory. SeniorSergeant O’Halloran said ’ defendant also forgot in 1917 and 1919. Defendant said he acted in good faith, and there was no intentional offence. His Worship said ho would have to jog defendant’s memory. Fined £2O and costs 7s.
