FORT BLOWS UP.
DISASTER IN ROUMANIA. NIGHT LONG RAIN OF SHELLS. Bucharest, Oct. 15. A terrific explosion occurred at Fort ; Rudeni. The fate of the garrison is unknown. Many persons were killed I in the adjacent village. The fort con- | tained 180 munitions wagons, mostly i from Russia. The explosions continued throughout' the day and night. Shells and bombs were thrown into the villages, igniting the surrounding forests.—(A. and N.Z.)
