MUNITIONS TO VEGETABLES.
ENGLAND’S WAR-MADE PORT. (Received 12. 8.50 a.m.) London, Oct. 11. The Richborough train ferry, which during the war curried thousands of train loads of munitions across the Channel, is now being utilised to bring 1 French fruit and vegetables direct to London, via Calais and Richborougb, without unloading. The first train of thirty large cars arrived in London today.—(A. and N.Z.)
