BOUGHT BY PACIFIC S.S. COMPANY . . —— (Received 17, 8.55 a.m.) London, Aug. 16. Tho Canadian Pacific Steamship Company has acquired the Hamburg-Ame-rica’s 21,000-ton steamer Tirpitz. They have converted her into an oil-burner, and have re-christened her the Empress of China. • She is employed in the Vancouver-Japan-China trade.—(A.
