PROFITEERS’ WINDFALL.
FLAW IN AMERICAN LAW. Washington, Feb. 28. The Supreme Court has declared unconstitutional certain provisions of the Lever law, by which profiteering is punishable. The Federal Government will be compelled to make restitution of £lOO,OOO fines collected from merchants who were convicted of charging high prices for various commodities, principally food and clothing.—(A. and N.Z.)
