TWO MILLION ANNUALLY.
COST OF NEW RAILWAY PAY. (Special to ‘Tribune.’’) Wellington, July 22. Good progress has been made with the scheme for increasing salaries in railway and other departments. Details are not decided yet, but it is known that the cost will be a sum approximately £2.000,000. This, however, includes three or four hundred thousand required for the bonus recommended by Air. Justice Stringer.
