LIPTON’S MAGIC KEY.
HIS LIFE LONG AMBITION
(Received 12, 9.25 a.m.) New York, July 11. The America Cup races wil be held as follows First, on 15th. July; second on 17th. July, and third on 20th. July.
The Resolute and Shamrock IV. are both being measured for the purpose ot determining what time allowance shall be made for a smaller vessel. It is unofficially estimated that the Resolute will obtain six and a-half minutes allowance.
Sir ,T. Lipton made a statement as follows:—“I might say that the Cha! lenger is the magic key wherewith 1 hope to achieve my lifelong ambitiqi of winning the America, cup. It is only the race that'will tell whether it is the right key, but whether I win cr lose, my admiration for the American people will remain, as I will never forget their many kindnesses to me.’'
