WILL IT BURST? RUMOURS OF REVOLT. PRESS DECLARE IT IMMINENT. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 29, 9.30 a.m.) Berlin, May 28. _ The Commissary for Maintenance, in an Order-in-statement to the Press, declares that while rumours of a forthcoming revolution have the basis of reality, they are much exaggerated. The only party openly threatening violent action is the Communistic Labour Party. The chief danger from the latter is that it might cause reaction among other parties. On the other hand the “Freheit” and “Tageblatt” declare a revolution immineut-
The “Tageblatt” adds that a list has been drawn up of Democratic Socialist leaders and Jewish notables who are to be slaughtered. “Vorwaerts” states that the signal for the revolution will come from the East. The “Volkszeitung” says all volunteer formations will march to Berlin. Over 100,000 volunteers are ready to rise. Trucks of military equipment are leaving Berlin daily for East Prussia. — (A. and N.Z.)
