Hunter) wasted no time m communicating to the Minister of Lands the wants of the Te ,-.-ura settlers, and he has received a reply, stating that the matter will receive early consideration, the Minister regretting that he was unable to visit the settlement just now. 'On Wednesday, thp children <-f St. Hilda’s Home, were treated to a trip to Napjer. the funds being supplied by Air. B. C. McCormick, of Patangata. The children, who were in charge of the Matron, Miss Waller, spent a most enjoyable day. and-fully appreciated Mr. McCormick’s generosity.
