Influenza.
CASES AT WANGANUI. - STEAMER - HELD UP. Wanganui, Feb. 6. Three cases of iuhuenza were re • moved from the coastal steamer John. - Two are reported serious. The vessel arrived direct from Timaru yesterday evening. The watersiders refuse to work the ship until a certificate of health is given by the health officer and the ship thoroughly cleared and disinfected. The latter operation is in progress. It is expected that unless further cases develop the ship will be worked to-morrow. Six cases were reported in the town this morning, making nineteen since the beginning of the month. Only a few are classified as serious. AUSTRALIA NORMAL. Melbourne, Feb. 5. A’ few cases of influenza are reported, although the official organisation states that the percentage is normal.
