ONGA ONGA.
(Own Correspondent.) The town halt was packed to the doors oh Monday evening on the occasion of a concert and social Organised in aid of the local War Memorial Funds. The programme of concert items was a very fine one and the appreciation of the audience was evidenced by a demand for an encore of each item. The town is indebted to the visitors from Waipatva for their valuable assistance to the concert programme and who wore entertained by the committee after the concert. Special mention may also b<> made of the excellent rendering of several items by the Onga Onga orchestra. The, other contributors to the concert programme were: Songs. Mrs. Williams, Misses A. E. .lull, >S. W. Strang, Sieverts and Skit-trap t recitation : Mr. Critchley : col-net solo, Mr. Maher, Mr. and Miss Hobin, Mr. Maher and Parkin also gave several instrumental selections and, a solo by a native boy and a duet by the same ]arl and his brother wore markedly harmonious. The vocalists were accompanied in excellent style by Mrs. Boyer. Misses .lull and Hobin and Mr. F. Limbriek. A dance after the concert wound up a very pleasant evening.
