The remains of the late Mr. J. H. Sinclair were laid to rest in the Napier cemetery yesterday. The staff of J. Vigor Brown and Co. acted as pall bearers' and the Rev. J. A. Asher conducted the service at the graveside. His Grace Archbishop Redwood celebrated on Monday the fortysixth anniversary of his consecration as a Bishop. He told the Hibernian Society at their annual Communion breakfast yesterday that he had to get a special indult from the Holy See to be consecrated on St. Patrick’s Day, which he had desired on account of his long association with Dundalk College and generally w’ith Irish people in their own country.

Bronte Gatenby (Welling ton), late Exhibitioner of Jesus College, Oxford, and Senior Demy of Magdalen College, who has been lecturing in histology in the School of Medicine at Oxford, has been appointed (senior-assistant in zoology and lecturer in cytology at University College, London. Mr. Gatenby, w’ho was a student at St. Patrick’s, Wellington, and Wanganui College, and went to Oxford in 1912. is a son of Mr. Gatenby, chemist, late of Hastings.
