— Wanganui, Aug. 15. elderly native, Poro Konu Tepatu. early this morning ran amok. He visited the res : dence of a settler, P. McWilliams, three miles from t.-io. at five o’clock, and smashed all th-’ windows in the house and did other damage amounting to £5O. He wer‘ to a "neighbours. and attacked tt-e owner’s son who was near-by. P're latter was defended by his father with a snade. He knocked down the native, whose hards were tied to 'prevent- further trouble. The native s now in the hospital. He is not ■jadly hurt.
