HASTINGS STARR-BOWKETT BUILDING SOCIETY.
The annual meeting -of the Hastings Starr-Bowkett Society was held last night, Mr. W. Y. Dennett presiding.
The annual report and balance sheet which have been printed and circulated among shareholders were adopted.
Mr. G. Hartshorn was re-elected shareholders’ auditor. ' In No. 1 issue no bid was received for the sale of £5OO. This appropriation was decided by ballot and went to group No. 159. A ballot proper in the same issue went to Group No. 72. In No. 2 issue a ballot for £5OO resulted in favour of Group No. 45, and in No. 3 issue a similar appropriation went to Group No. 17. At a subsequent meeting of directors, Mr. W. Y. Dennett was reelected chairman for the ensuing year, and Mr. G. Land vice-Presi-dent.
