Revolt in Bulgaria.
(Received 14, 1.50 p.m.) London, Aug. 13. The German press reports a Republican movement in Bulgaria.— <Reuter.) THE WESTERN FRONT. AMERICAN FIELD ARMY. (Received 14, 2.15 p.m.) New York, Aug. 13. The New York “ Timqs’ ” correspondent on the West front states that it is officially announced that the first American field army has been organised. It consists of more than 300,000 men, forming four or five array corps.—(A. and N.Z.) CHINA. ARRANGES LOAN FROM JAPAN. (Received 14, 2.15 p.m.) New York, Aug. 13. The New York “ Times’ ” Peking correspondent states that a contract has been signed for an eighty million yen gold loan from Japan to China. The Japanese legation has denied knowledge of the loan, in- 1 ferring that the transaction is un-j official. The terms of the loan are. adversely criticised.—(A. & N.Z.)
