NAPIER HARBOUR BOARD.

The following officials reports were dealt with at to-day’s Napier Harbour Board meeting The secretary (Mr. Jno, P. Kenny) reported that the wharfage department’s earnings for the past seven months showed a decrease of £2575 compared with the corresponding period of 1917. The London and Lancashire Co. had been successful at the ballot for the board’s fire insurance. He also reported that T. Mullan previously' employed by the board as draughtsman and surveyor, had died on active service.

The engineer (Mr. Geo. A- Lee) reported on constructional and maintenance works, and made several recommendations regarding reclamation.

The harbourmaster (Captain White Parsons) reported that there was little change in soundings in the harbour. Life-saving anti other gear had been overhauled.
