THE WEEK’S LOSSES. THIRTY EIGHT VESSELS OVER 1600 TONS. London, May 3. The Admiralty reports: Shipping arrivals for the week were 2716, sailings 2690. In all 38 vessels over 1600 tons and 31 under -were sunk, while 24 were unsuccessfully attackd. Eight fishers were sunk. The Italian naval communique states: For the week ending April 29th 627 ships arrived and 521 left Italy. Three Italian steamers and seven sailers were sunk. Mr. Hoover, of the Belgian Relief Commission, has arrived from England. He states that the Belgian mortality has increased to triple since the Germans began torpedoing relief ships. Sixty thousand tons of food were sunk during March and April.
