ANOTHER TURKISH ARMY CORPS ROUTED. CAVALRY IN PURSUIT. (Received 4, 8.30 a.m.) London, May 3. A Mesopotamia official message states: We attacked the 13th Turkish Army Corps at dawn on the 30th April, where they occupied a strong position on both banks 01 the Shatt-el-Adhaim, 25 miles southwest of Kifri. We surprised the enemy’s first two lines, including a fortified village, which we rapidly stormed with great dash. The position was swept in irresistible style. The Turks’ counter-attacks re. gained the village, but they lost it again and began a general retreat, which continued all night of the 30th. On Tuesday our cavalry drove them from the Hamrin hills. On Monday we captured 359 prisoners, including two battalion commanders, one Hotchkiss gun, and a large quantity of ammunition. RUSSIANS OCCUPY A RIVER ISLAND. (Received 4, 1.25 p.m.) London, May 3.
