HAWKE’S BAY SEAT.

In conversation with Mr. A- ; E. .Tull this morning, a - Tribune reorter was informed that he knew nothing as to the convention being held for the selection of a Liberal candidate for the Hawke’s Bay seat. It was quite true, however, that he was willing that his name should be submitted to that convention, but only on certain conditions. The executive of the Hastings Liberal League anti Messrs F. Foote and Walker, of AA airoa, met the Hon. W. D. S. MacDonald last evening and informally discussed with him the situation in connection with the representation of the Hawke’s Bay seat. It was decided that a meeting of the League be held on Friday next, when delegates will be appointed to attend a convention ot delegates from the whole of the Hawke's Bav electoral district to oe held on Monday evening next, at which the Hon. W. D. S. MacDonald will be present.
