The Military Appeal Board at Wellington to-day granted exemption in the case of an expert shearer willing to enter into an understanding to continue shearing and between seasons to engage in farm work, station work, or work in connection with the wool or meat industries and to report monthly as to what he was doing. —Press Association.
At the Wellington Supreme Court yesterday William Francis O’Brien was sentenced to four years’ hard labour for indecent assault on a little girl.
