FIRE AT AUCKLAND.

1.250,000 FEET OF FILMS DESTROYED. Auckland, Feb. 6. A fire occurred this evening in the offices occupied by the Amalgamated Film Exchange of Australasia in Gleeson’s buildings. The fire was under control within twenty minutes. There was practically no damage to the building, which is of ferroconcrete, but a million and a quarter feet of films valued at £28,000 was destroyed. The Film Exchange was insured for £4,250 in the Royal Exchange office. The origin of the fire is unknown.
