FUNERAL TO-DAY.

Wellington, Feb. s_. The body of the late Dr. McNab was removed to the ferry steamer Maori for transference to the south en route to Invercargill, where the funeral takes place to-morrow. The cortege to the steamer included the Hons. J. A. Allen, M. Fraser W. D. S. MacDonald, J. A. Hanan. G. W. Russell, (who are going down to the funeral), J. G. Herdman, Sir Francis Bell and Dr Pomare, with several members of Parliament, the Mayor (Mr. Luke), and a number of members of the Harbour Board, and leading citizens. JUSTICE HOSKTNG’S TRIBUTE. r PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. 1 Auckland. Feb. 6. Mr. Justice Hosting referred to Dr. McNab’s death at the opening of the Supreme Court at Auckland yesterday. He said that Dr. McNab was a man whose sense of duty and love of country was the mainspring of all his actions, and the Dominion had sustained a great loss. The grand jury later carried a motion endorsing Mr. Justice Hosking’s tribute to the late Dr. McNab. and expressing the sense of the loss the Dominion has suffered through the death of a statesman of great” professional attainments, a man who was not only possessed of great natural ability, but one whose high sense of duty to his fellows ami his country has left a life’s work of example of services well done for U :>«e following him.
