“ PEG O’ MY-HEART.” “ Peg o’ Aly Heart ’’ promises to be the sensation in theatrical circles when produced at the Hastings Municipal Theatre on Saturday uext. Certainly the Irish ought to take a deep interest, in the production, for Sara Allgood, who has been specially chosen to represent Peg, is the famous young actress whom Yeats and Lady Gregory engaged for the production of the Irish plays at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, when the Irish literary revival movement was so strong; later she appeared in the Court Theatre, London, and quickly made a name for herself. Her sister (under the name of Moire O’Neill), Fred Donovan and Arthur Kerrigan were also associated with her ; hei sister is considered a brilliant actress. Y'eats did not hesitate to tell the English public what hidden treasures he had unearthed in the Green Isle when he found these two charming sisters. Supporting Aliss Allgood will bo J. and N. Tait’s new English Comedy Company, all of whom were specially brought out for the Australian and New Zealand tour. iho box plan will open at Hall’s on Thursday morning.
