A communique states:—A series cff fierce attacks in the Dorna Watra region forcel our advanced posts to abandon two heights. The Russians captured Austrian trenches at Dorna Watra constructed on a new plan for forcing the soldiers to fight in any circumstances. We progressed on our left. Strong enemy forces are attacking in the Alt Valley. We are continuing our offensive m the Jiul Valley. The enemy is retiring to the mountains. We repulsed attacks in the Orsova region. RUMANIA’S PRISONERS. [“THE TIMES.”) (Received 30, 12.40 p.m.) London, October 29. The Rumanians have taken 20,000 prisoners during the campaign. The Germans, especially, are dejected. They are mostly young lads, and men over 50, ill clothed and hungry, and in bad hygienic condition. All the Austrians taken prisoner belong to the detachment from the Isonzo. ENEMY REPORTS. Amsterdam, October 28. The Austro-Hungarians captured several heights on both sides of Dorna Watra.
