The N anier men were welcomed by the Mayor (Mr. J. V. Brown. M.P.). and were then taken to their several destinations in cars supplied by the H.B. Automobile Association. The Gisborne men leave this evening by the Tarawera. RED CROSS SHOP, HASTINGS. The Hastings Red Cross Shop will be open to-morrow in Market street, when it is expected the usual brisk business will be done. Several -sheep have been given for sale, a lamb from Pukeharuoaruoa. and a purebred Black Orpington rooster. There will be eggs, butter, and cream from the country, and fresh vegetables, beef steak pies all ready fpr the table, beautiful flowers and sweets. A jumble stall has been arranged. and many articles of cloth-, ing have already been sent in, be-; sides curtains, cushion covers. < *■•. r The ladies in charges are Mesdan.es J. J. Faulkner, Oswald Nelson. Bert Bishop, W. H. Maitland, T. W. ! Lewis, and Miss Dot I.anauzo. They,; will be glad to dispose of anything , sent in to-day or to-morrow on behalf of the splendid Red Cross organisation which is much appreciated by our men in hospital.
