NAPIER SAILING CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Napier Sailing Club was held in tbe Masonic Hotel last evening, Mr. J. V. Brown, M.P.. presiding. The report and balance sheet were adopted. Reference was made by the chairman to tbe fact that forty-seven members had gone to the front, eight of whom had been killed in action.
The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: — Mr. J. V. Brown, M.P. (commodore), Mr. Walter McCarthy (vicecommodore), Mr. J. R. Morgan (rear-commodore), Mr. A. H. McCarthy (captain),. Mr. W. Forrest (vice-captain). Mr. A. J. Sheele (hon treasurer and secretary), Mr. G. Stubbs (hon. auditor). The general committee elected was Messis X. Gillies. C. Brown, A. Anderson, 11. Farquhar, R. Bell. Mr. Smith was elected starter and Mr. R. Farquhar handicapper, the sub-committee being Messrs Gillies, Williams, Stubbs and McCarthy. A number of new members were elected.
