A resolution from the Rotorua Chamber of Commerce, urging the use of prison labour for the making and maintenance of roads, was, on the motion of Mr. Ellison, seconded by Mr. R. L. Paterson, heartily approved. The Napier 30,000 Club asked for support to a resolution requesting the Government to acquire Dartmoor estate for closer settlement.— Mr. Paterson supported the proposition. —Approved.
