WAIPAWA.

(Own Correspondent.) The monthly sitting of the Magistrate’s Court is to be held tomorrow. (Thursday). The Waipawa Choral Society had a successful practice on Tuesday evening of a programme to be submitted on November Sth. Perfect weather prevailed for the Waipawa Racing Club’s meeting on Monday last and was responsible for a record attendance. The amount going through the tote was £11,424 or an increase of £1713 of the amount for last year. There were no accidents arising out of the racing events or from the heavy motor traffic and a pleasing feature was the orderliness of the huge crowd accounted for no doubt to a certain extent to the anti-shouting regulations. A musical programme was submitted by the Waipawa Municipal Band and was much appreciated.
