STORTFORD LODGE ROAD.
Sir.—l am satisfied from recent events that the only way to get an evil remedied is through your correspondence columns. It was nothing but the letters in your that removed the obnoxious sign and also made the councillors change their minds about the new street names, so that is why I was drawing attention to the loads of stone which are periodically thrown upon the Stortford Lodge road. jThe holes, which these stones are supposed to fill up, are getting bigger and bigger, the stones are worn into dust, and then—the borough man comes along and empties out more stones. I know the councillors, will read, mark, learn and inwardly digest this letter, despite their loud street comer protests that “we don’t take any notice of letters in the ‘Tribune,’ ” but they du take notice, whether they like it or not. —I am, etc..
