Okahn, who was in the van, tired on the way round, while Black Powder easily maintained bis lead, winning by over a length from Piranoir, who ran a good race. Homewood Hack Handicap, of 60 sovs, 1 mile.—l Black Heart 1, 3 Hylaini 2, 4 Genee 3. Also started: Pall Mall, Black Powder. Kevnote, 7 Royal Favourite. The field got away in good order, Pall Mall acting as pilot with Genee, Hylami and Black Powder following in the order mentioned. In the last few furlongs Black Heart took command. Hylami put in a strong challenge at the nish but the effort came too late and Black Heart won by a length. Genee was four or five lengths away third. Time, Imin 43 2-ssec.

Railway Handicap, of 75 sovs, 6 furlongs.—l Zeus and 2 Dribble dead heat 1, 3 Martial Air 3. Also started: 5 Perceler, 4 Cohziska. A prompt start was effected, Perceler taking command. Zeus gradually overhauled him and appeared a certain winner. Dribble came on in fine style and in the last fifteen yards the pair raced neck to neck, passing the post together. Martial Air was several lengths away third. Time, Imin 17sec. Hack Flying Handicap, of 60 sovs. 6 furlongs.—l Maraetotara 1, 6 Hymen 2,2 Shaki 3. Also started: 3 St-. Omer, 4 Discussion, 5 Subdual, 7 Bonitas. Hymen was first our and with Shaki led practically all the way. - Maraetotara came on with a fast run at the finish, and beat Hymen by half a length.
