At the Chambers of Commerce Conference today, the following remit was adopted: “That it is advisable that a sy stem be evolved by the Chambers of Com tnerce of New Zealand having for its object the advocacy, at the proper time, before the British capitalists of the advisability <>i investing capital to a greater extent m future in the British colonial dominions ami States, and to this end th ii when the- right time arrives repiest nVtions of a comprehensive nature should lie made in trie proper quarters." Remits were received from the Wellingleii and Mclliiigton Central (. liambers with the object of putting into effect a cmnpreh'm'iv < list ef recommendations made by the !••>'!» etmferencc with respect to the bankruptcy law of the Dominion.
Mr.’ A. AL Myers. M.P.. gave an address on the subject of bankrnptev law. ami further discussion was postponed. '
