ARRESTED FOR FORGERY

Ignatius Tribich has been arrested in New York for forgery in England.
[lgnatius Tribich. a German spy. was M.P. foy Darlington in 1910, and was afterwards a Hungarian censor in the War Office. He vainly offered his services to Sir Edward Grey and Air. Churchill, and after bringing useful information from Rotterdam, obtained from the German Consul, he won the confidence of the British Secret Service, and propounded a scheme for luring a part of lhe British fleet io a certain Bay. where the Germans were with in striking distance, but the Secret Service refused to disclose . the whereabouts of the British Fleet to anyone. Finally they- discovered the fraud and Tribiecb, or Lincoln, which name he took when being naturalised as an Englishman in 1909, fled to America. He was guilty of theft from the Jewish Mission in the East End of London, and forging of a bill which a money-lender cashed. Tribich failed in 1911, his liabilities being £17,118. Air. Secbohm 'Downtree was a creditor for £7500.J
