SCHOOLMASTER FOUND DROWNED. Dunedin, Sept. 24. At the inquest held at Taieri last evening on the body of AV. B. Appleby, headmaster of Lovells Flat school, who has been missing since • August 22nd and whose body was j found in the Taieri river on Tuesday.' evidence showed that deceased : had no worries, financial or other-1 wise. He was a teetotalar, and in' his normal state of mind on the dav • he disappeared. A verdict of found drowned was returned, there being no evidence to show how the body got into the, water.
