RUGBY. MARLBOROUGH'aJ v. OTAGO 8. Blenheim, Sept. 22. Marlborough easily defeated Otago to-day by 24 to 8. The weather was fine. The play of the visitors lacked vigour. Marlborough prevailed almost throughout, the forwards being particularly prominent in attack and irresistible in the loose. In the first spell Marlborough had the advantage of the .sun. Dewkicked two penalties in the. second spell Kelly, Hatherley, Bottrell and O’Rourke scored tries for Marlborough. Dew converting three. For Otago Geary and Fogerty scored tries, Watson converting one.
