The Catholic Primate has caused dismay by publishing a solemn exhortation condemning the Tango, its nature being wanton and offensive to morals. He warns confessors to take the Tango into account during ministrations and requests Parisians to observe Christian modesty. The attitude of the whole of the French Church is condemnatory to the dance.
