EMBEZZLEMENT.
A LIGHT SENTENCE. Dunedin. March 14. Judge "Williams sat this morning to pass sentence upon Emils Arthur Alexander Menzies, who had pleaded guilty in the court below to the charges cf embezzlement cf moneys, the property of the Union Steamshin Company. The Judge did not think it a ease for probation. but looking at the accused's previous good character and taking into consideration the fact that he had been in gaol for three weeks, the sentence would be three months' imprisonment.
