ATTEMPT TO FIRE BRITISH MUSEUM.

Some half-burned rags were opportunely discovered in a lavatory at the British Museum.
The deed is attributed to the suffragettes.
WRIT AGAINST MRS. LAWRENCE.

The Treasury issued a writ against Mrs Petbick Lawrence, and recovered £6OO, the balance of costs in the conspiracy prosecution.
FIRE FIEND ARRESTED.
(Received 14, 9.25 a.m.) London, March 13
The police raided a studio at Canden Hill gardens and arrested Olive Hocken, charged with conspiracy to burn Roehampton golf pavilion. They discovered under the flooring a large quantity of corrosive fluid, flints, hammers and wire-cutting apparatus, also false motor car identification plates.
The accused has been remanded for a week.
