ELECTIONEERING.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —lii electioneering as in all other tilings there is a right and a wrong way. The Wrong Way ; — Give a dog enough rope to itself. Do not pull the rope tight till the game is up. Make the people believe in you till it is impossible. Bounce and bully with challenges and writs for libel. Smile on the ladies and request their photos. Use blatant, bragging electioneering tactics. . Do not fear that a boasting advertisement will disgrace the intelligence of the electors or the district you want to represent. The Correct Way : — Be a gentleman. Be kind and honourable in all dealings. Secure the financial confidence of your fellowmen. Do not bounce and bully. Do not want to fight your fellowman. For God's sake do not think .you arc better than your father. I am. etc.. lAN OF THAT ILK. Mahora, Nov. 9, 1911.
