KING’S THEATRE, HASTINGS. A fair house turned out last evening to witness the screening of the pictures at the King’s Theatre. The subjects were again applauded heartily, The educational picture. “ Egg to Chick,” is really a.first-class subject, and fowl fanciers will do well to see this subject. The whole process of hatching a chicken is plainly shown. The vaudeville film. “ Five Graceful Girls.” is another good subject, and shows no end of clever feats by these girls. “ XX'oes cf a Wirlov ” is a smartly acted comedy of good quality. The other films were up to the usual standru-d. The same programme will be screened again tonight. PRINCESS THEATRE. HASTINGS. La-t night’s audience was greatly pleased with the programme, and, without doubt, it is a good one. The Edison comedy. “ The Try Out, ’ is really excellent, being genuinely humorous without descending to buffoonery, and is as good as anything we lune seen. The dramas, such as “ His First Commission ” ami “ The Stranger.” can be recommended, while ” Bill and his Friend ” introduces a very- clever hear. There will be the usual matinee tomorrow afternoon.
