; The Borough Inspector (Mr . Janies Perry) rports as follows for i the month endeing July 31 : Measles. ' amount to £l7/11/-, an d inspections ; have been paid to buildings in i course of erection. | Sanitary Plumbing. — Sanitary plumbing permits w-ere issued to i licensed plumbers to carry out all j necessary sanitary work required ’ at eleven premises which have been i connected with the sewer in differI ent parts of the borough and six ■permits to fix P.W.G. and vents ; and sink traps and waste, etc. ; Drainage Permits. — Drainage permits to the number of six were ! Dangerous Verandah.—A notice ; has been served on the owner calling his immediate attention to the dangerous condition of a verandah ; fronting two business premises in ■ Heretaunga street. Usances —A notice has been served on the agent of premises in ■ &eddo “ street, calling his immediate attention to a cesspit at the- • rear of the premises, which is a. menace t o public health. Thei above premises should be connected with the sewer which would abate the nuisance complained of. ; 1 have called on several owners of P re ™ises re cleaning up their Ix ai s. A notice has been served : on the owner of a section in Here- . taunga street to clean up yard and remove poultry, etc. (This work i» m hand).
