THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
An excellent series of new films will be shown at the Gaiety Theatre, Napier, to-night. There is a drama of particular merit, showing how a reporter, in his efforts to gather interesting material for his paper, was brought through many trying ordeals. The Rough h.-tors’ Romance, founded on ’he Cuban war, with its many horrors the battlefield clearly shown. Paul and Virginia is a pretty story with nice scenic effects. “The Attack on Fort Ridgley” is a thrilling episode of the fight between Redskins and the Yankees in rhe renowned Sioux war. Pathe’s Animated Gazette contains the usual world-wide news.
