THE TURF.

H.B.J. CLUB. The Gaming Amendment Act, which was placed on the Statute book during the session nf Parliament just closed, does not come into operation till January 31. which means that the licensed bookmaker will be able to say a long “haerera’’' to the local snorting coinnmnitv ar the forthcoming meeting.
