THE BASSA RISING.
(Received April 11, 11.37 p.m.) LONDON, April 11,
The British punitive expedition to Bassa, a province of northern Nigeria, had a fight with the natives. Four British were killed and 48 wounded. The head of Captain O’Riordan, who was recently murdered, was recovered.
