NUHAKA-ROAD DEVIATION.

[press association.] WAIROA, Saturday. The County Council have decided to call tenders for the September meeting for the deviation of the Nuhakaroad. Instead of going over the Te Uhi hill, the road is to go through Hunter Brown’s pass, a shorter distance by two miles. The deviation will avoid all hills, and give a direct route to Waikokopu, of a distance of twenty-three miles.
