[PEBBB ASSOCIATION.]] Chbi3tchueoe, Friday. The tailors’ dispute was before the Arbitration Court this morning. The demands of the union are: - Forty-five hours tor a week’s work; overtime, time and a quarter and double time; apprentices to be indentured for five years, and the proportion to be one to four men; apprentices’ wages to run from 6s to 20s; minimum wage of tailors to be £3, precsers £2 16a, female workers JGI 12a Gd; the team system to be abolished. The hearing of the dispute was adjourned until expects have reported on the log. The award in the freezsre’ dispute was given. The minimum wage was fixed at Is par hour, casual labor Is Id; double time on Sundays and holidays; delay in starting work to be avoided as much as possible ; contractors should pay minimum wage; cooling time te be allowed; preference to unionisls. The award is to continue in force till Oetober 20th, 1901,
